Going to Karson’s website, I immediately noticed the very minimalist design, which is something that I really like about it I noticed that their is no homepage, and instead the homepage is the blogs, which I can understand. I like the menu at the top, and I have no idea how Karson was able to include all the posiel posts in one section without using different pages or menus. Going to the actual blogs, it looks like Karson is writing about a trip they had to Japan recently. I decided to go to the About Me section to get a better idea of what the blog was about. I saw that the blogs were written by Tem, so I’m not too sure if Tem is Karson or not or if it is their preferred name, so I apologize in advance, but I will continue to refer to you as Karson because that is what is written in the spreadsheet. Other than that, it does appear as if they had recently had a trip to Japan and wanted to write about their experiences. I think now is a good time to talk about the actual blogs. The first thing I need to say is that Karson is wasting no time in this class with the writings, as they have already finished everything that is due next week. I wish I could say the same.
I decided to take a look at Karson’s third blog, Where are the Garbage Bins?, as I thought that it was a unique topic to write a blog about. Going through the blog, the title makes a lot more sense, and I think Karson is really good at picking the names for his blogs. In the blog, Karson talks about how in Japan it can be almost impossible to find any garbage bins due to a gas attack that occurred in 1995. Karson also talks about their experience with having to carry their trash around and ways to throw out any trash that a tourist may have. I think this was a very solid post with some good information, and if I ever go to Japan, I will make sure to not carry a paper cup for 8 hours. Overall, I really like the design, layout, and titles for Karson’s blog. I did have a few issues when initially looking at Karson’s website, but it seems that they have all gone away.
