For today’s peer review, I will be going over ashleybookshelf. Overall first impressions of the website: it’s a nice design with little colour, but the colours that are there help it pop out, so overall it is a nice template with minimal clutter. On the right-hand side of the website, there is a search bar, recent posts, recent comments, archives, and categories I believe that most of these are unnecessary, and I also noticed that there is little work done on the actual website with only three blog posts; there are no categories or pages to post work with process posts, peer reviews, or anything else. Trying to get a better idea of the website, I tried to find an about me section or page, but there isn’t one. I think it is safe to assume that ashleybookshelf is about books that Ashley has read. There do happen to be three posts, one of which is just saying “Hello World!” which is not a great sign, which gives me the idea that even though it has been a couple weeks now, Ashley is still very far behind on the work, which is a little concerning given that we are basically halfway done.

Going into Ashley’s latest post, Cursed Bunny Pt.3 it does indeed appear that this website is about books that Ashley would like to review. Going through the post, I find it a bit strange to give a synopsis of the book, as I don’t think telling people about the ending of the book is a good idea. I may be wrong, but that is just what I thought. From what I read, I believe she goes over the ending of the book. Overall, it was a pretty solid post. The only thing I can say is that instead of a synopsis, maybe just a brief idea of the story could be a better idea, and I think I would like to read more about your opinion of the book and why you rated it only a 3 out of 5. Overall, ashleybookshelf is a pretty solid website with a clear intention and some good posts, but there could be a little work done on the actual website. Personally, I would start categorizing the posts so that once you start writing the process posts and essays, everything will just be easier afterwards. You could work on the about me page and try to add a section for all posiel work, as this is an entire page just for the meme and not an actual post.
